Platforms we work with

Profit is the only number that matters.

It's easy to buy revenue with Google Ads. It's much harder to buy profitable revenue. We set every target from your margins, so growth actually shows up in your bank account, not just in a dashboard.

A 2.5× return can be excellent for one brand and loss-making for another. Across our clients, the right target ranges from 2.5× to 20×, depending on category and margin.

Our Google Ads process

Five steps, one question behind all of them: is this adding profit to your business?

1

Find what's holding you back

We review your account, product feed and tracking together.

How we do it: Most wasted spend comes from how these three interact - branded searches inflating results, weak product titles limiting reach, or tracking that double-counts sales.

2

Set targets that mean profit

We agree what "good" looks like for your business.

How we do it: We work through margins, order values, repeat purchase rates and fulfilment costs to set a ROAS or profit target.

3

Build the right structure

Each campaign gets a clear job.

How we do it: Performance Max as the core engine, standard Shopping for tighter product control, Search for high-intent queries, YouTube and Demand Gen to create new demand.

4

Launch properly

Everything is set up right from day one.

How we do it: Campaigns, feeds, audiences and tracking, with UTMs applied at account level so every sale can be traced.

5

Test, prove and scale

We scale what works and cut what doesn't.

How we do it: Weekly optimisation plus geo-lift and incrementality tests that show which campaigns genuinely create new sales.

How we run Google Ads for ecommerce

Use the right campaign for the right job

We use Google's automation where it's strongest and keep manual control where it matters.

How we do it: Performance Max has matured into the strongest campaign type for most ecommerce brands and drives most of our clients' growth. We still run standard Shopping when a brand needs precise control, like protecting margin on specific products or pushing a hero range. We separate brand from non-brand searches, so campaigns are judged on new customers, not people already looking for you.

Reach people before they search

YouTube now drives sales on its own and makes your other campaigns work harder.

How we do it: YouTube and Demand Gen campaigns do two jobs: selling directly at a profitable return, and building the demand that Search and Shopping later capture. Brands that skip YouTube are missing a big part of Google's reach.

Make your products easy to find

Your product data decides whether you show up. We fix it for you.

How we do it: We optimise product titles around how people actually search, fix categories and attributes, and resolve Merchant Center issues — through a feed management tool or directly, depending on catalogue size. You don't need a clean feed before working with us.

Know what's really working

You'll see which sales Google Ads genuinely creates, not just which ones it claims.

How we do it: Google and Shopify rarely agree, and Shopify's source tracking is often inaccurate. We use third-party attribution (Triple Whale, Northbeam), UTMs at account level, and geo-lift and incrementality tests. Where needed, we build custom measurement models.

Targets set from your margins

There's no universal "good return". Yours is based on your numbers.

How we do it: The right ROAS across our clients ranges from 2.5× to 20×. Where data allows, we optimise for profit (POAS) or new customers rather than blended revenue.

Google Ads for ecommerce: common questions

What does a Google Ads agency do for an ecommerce brand?

It gets you more profitable sales from Google. That means planning and managing campaigns across Search, Shopping and YouTube, optimising your product feed, setting up tracking, and setting targets from your margins so growth is profitable.

Is Performance Max or Google Shopping better?

Both have a place. Performance Max is now the strongest option for most ecommerce brands and usually drives most growth. Standard Shopping is still useful when you need precise control over specific products or margins.

What is a good ROAS for Google Ads?

It depends on your margins. Across our clients the right target ranges from 2.5× to 20×. We work out the return your business needs to be profitable, then optimise towards that.

How do you know if Google Ads is actually working?

We test it. Alongside third-party attribution tools like Triple Whale and Northbeam, we run geo-lift and incrementality tests that show how many sales Google Ads genuinely creates versus sales that would have happened anyway.

Why don't Google Ads and Shopify show the same revenue?

They count sales differently, and Shopify's source tracking is often inaccurate. Google can also take credit for customers who already knew your brand. Third-party attribution and incrementality testing give a more trustworthy picture.

Should ecommerce brands advertise on YouTube?

In most cases, yes. YouTube works both as a direct sales channel and as a way to build demand that Search and Shopping later capture.

Do you manage product feeds?

Yes, for every client. We optimise titles, attributes and categories and fix Merchant Center issues. You don't need a clean feed before working with us.

How much does a Google Ads agency cost?

We charge a flat monthly fee, with no percentage of ad spend and no performance kickers. The fee depends on whether your account needs optimising or building. Book a call and we'll recommend the right option.

Is there a minimum ad spend?

No fixed minimum. We work with established brands and newer ones, and we'll tell you honestly if Google Ads is right for you at your stage.

Which ecommerce platforms do you work with?

Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce. Most of our clients are on Shopify.

How long until I see results?

Most clients see clear gains within three months, and structural fixes often show within weeks. Seasonal categories can take longer.

What happens in the first month?

We audit your account, feed and tracking, agree profit-based targets, and fix the most costly issues first. Then we restructure and start testing.
